The Orange County Sheriff's Office received the call at 10:08 a.m. on October 5, logging it as “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Central Florida law enforcement monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the scanner report on X (formerly known as Twitter), posting:

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 10/5/26 10:08 AM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Disney's Animal Kingdom

A Google Maps screenshot attached to the post marks a spot on a walkway along the edge of the park. Scanner reports tied to Walt Disney World Resort properties are often logged under generic addresses rather than the exact coordinates of a 911 call, so the exact location of the battery incident on October 5 is uncertain.

Neither Walt Disney World Resort nor the Orange County Sheriff's Office has released a statement about the battery on Monday morning. It's unclear how many people were involved, whether anyone was injured, or whether those involved were Disney Park guests or cast members. Further details could emerge if a police report is published or criminal charges are filed.

Operations at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park continued as normal on October 5, despite the morning response. Walt Disney World Resort guests can keep their vacation plans as scheduled and should steer clear of any security or law enforcement activity they encounter.
