Walt Disney World in Florida harbors many different types of people every day. When going out in public to explore a theme park, most visitors are generally there to have a good time. However, there is always a chance of encountering degenerate behavior. Recently, a guest took to social media to vent about childish conduct during a popular ride’s pre-show experience.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Preshow

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has one of the cleverest queue systems in Walt Disney World. The unique EPCOT attraction funnels Guests through a “Galaxarium” that displays everything the Xandarians have learned about Earth’s inhabitants (which they call Terrans).

As the line progresses, guests are eventually funneled into a pre-show experience involving characters from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Appearances include Rocket Raccoon, Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, and Groot.

Nova Corp also details what is about to go down in this room. The experience is extremely funny, but acting like an immature child while in a public venue is not as hilarious. In fact, it’s actually cringe.

Disney World Guest Frustrated With Inappropriate Behavior

User @such_compeititon1503 went on the r/WaltDisneyWorld subreddit to rant about a recent negative experience they had during the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind pres-how. The user had brought their significant other to EPCOT for the first time ever and purchased Genie+ to improve the special occasion.

However, when the two got to the Guardians of the Galaxy pre-show, they had quite a frustrating encounter. The guest details that some grown adults started ruining the moment for everyone in the room with ridiculous behavior. The childish antics involved yelling obscenities, clapping annoyingly, and purposely bumping into people in the room.

During the first pre-show, this guy just starts yelling at the screen. In the next room, he and another group starts yelling p***s at the top of their lungs, then just start clapping as loud as they can. They continued to yell and started running around, bumping into people in queue before boarding. It completely ruined the pre-show for my significant other.

Behavior in Guardians Pre-Show

The user says these annoying guests spoiled the moment for many people. Responses indicate that this behavior is actually not uncommon. In fact, the growing “drinking culture” in EPCOT often leads to frustrating incidents similar to this situation.

As much as I love Cosmic Rewind and Epcot, I will never go at night again. People cannot handle their booze and it is embarrassing. I’m a bartender and deal with people like that far too much to be deal with that kind of behavior while on vacation.

Disney World’s Dilemma

While it can’t be guaranteed this incident was related to alcohol, most responses in the subreddit agree that these antics are absurd high school behavior. This also seems to be a common issue in Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in particular.

“Are there not Cast Members in these preshow rooms like on other attractions?” One user wondered, saying it wasn’t the first time they saw someone posting about bad behavior during this pre-show. Some respondents think these guests should have been escorted out of the park. However, others lamented that Disney World rarely removes childish visitors unless punches are thrown.

It is important to stress that acting like a grown adult in public takes little effort. When visiting a Disney Park, remember that people are spending a ton of money to be there. The behavior detailed in this post isn’t funny to most adults and is simply disruptive. There is a time and a place for everything, so always remember to read the room!
